The European Journal of Political Philosophy publishes high quality interpretations of important thinkers in the history of political philosophy, ancient, medieval, and modern (early and late). We also publish interpretations of philosophically significant works of history, poetry and theology, and articles on important themes in political philosophy which draw on the history of the discipline to illuminate perennial problems and the distinctive problems of modernity. We are animated by the conviction that canonical works in the history of political philosophy should not only be objects of criticism, but sources of knowledge.
